FRUITCAKES

According to Wikipedia, "the Jaffa orange, also Shamouti orange, is a sweet, almost seedless orange variety. Originally developed in Palestine in the mid-19th century, it takes its name from the city of Jaffa where it was first produced for export. It became a primary citrus export of the State of Israel following its establishment in 1948.

One of three main varieties of oranges grown in the Middle East, the Jaffa orange is also cultivated in Cyprus, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. At one time the cooperation in growing and exporting these oranges was seen as a symbol of positive Arab-Jewish relations."

The Jaffa orange is also grown in Spain, South Africa and a dozen other countries but the boofheads who work the racist BDS have gone loopy over the labelling of the oranges and are boycotting them all. They even have the NSW government's knickers in a knot over the issue - NSW government warns Coles over imported fruit labels and no doubt, the councillors at Marrickville are all over ever Coles Supermarket in their municipality ensuring that no Jaffas at all are sold on their patch.

Here's a hint for Fiona Byrne and friends on how to differentiate between a Jewish Jaffa Orange and the other types - the Jewish ones have a stem that appears to be circumcised.

And on a serious note, French philosopher Bernard Henri-Levy addresses the matter of BDS here. If the good councillors of Marrickville can get their noses away from the local orange produce they would do well to pay attention to what the man says.

I wonder if you would be prepared to publish this clarification regarding the issue of NSW government warning Coles over imported fruit labels.

The fruit in question were not oranges. You are quite correct to say that ""the Jaffa orange, also Shamouti orange, is a sweet, almost seedless orange variety. Originally developed in Palestine in the mid-19th century, it takes its name from the city of Jaffa where it was first produced for export."

However you must not confuse the variety of orange commonly called Jaffa with the brand name. "Nearly all the citrus in Israel is marketed under the brand name Jaffa," (http://www.jaffa.co.il/category.asp?id=26)

The fruit which Coles was labelling "Product of Australia" was actually grapefruit marketed under the brandname Jaffa and the boxes the fruit came in showed clearly that it had been exported from Israel by the company Mehadrin Tnuport Export.

Last year, some feral Palestinian activists had decided to hold a small protest outside Max Brenner's Sydney city store. Needless to say, there's a certain type of person who can attend a protest at 3pm on a business day...

They were taunting everyone who walked in to the shop for some chocolatey goodness. One customer was brilliant:

Protester: "How can you support this business?"

Man: "I like chocolate. They make good chocolate".

Protester: "But you are supporting rapists and murderers!"

Man: "You were raped by chocolate?"

Even the other protesters laughed. You can see what liars and how venomous they are.

Raped by chocolate?

FMD!!!!!

Now the Israelis are accused of being rapists?

Wasn't some loony doing a PhD a few years ago trying to blame IDF soldiers of racism because they don't rape Arab women?

Blow me down with a feather, these BDS meshuganes are really a piece of work!

As far as not raping Arab woman , would it be racist to say they are not exactly desirable?
