I admit I haven't read the Landes report. From what I understand, however, the Landes article is published by MERIA - Middle East Research in International Affairs, which is a different beast altogether from MEMRI, the Middle East Media Research Institute.
MEMRI is a fine organisation indeed, but it's not Barry Rubin's GLORIA, which publishes MERIA.
