BBC PAYS £200,000 TO 'COVER UP REPORT ON ANTI-ISRAEL BIAS'
The news is not surprising and nor would it surprise if the BBC continues to deny until the cows come home that its reports are, in fact, biased against Israel.
The BBC should come clean because its bias is so obvious that it borders on the comedic.
We all remember Orla Guerin's performance when she reported in banshee-like tones from a shattered Southern Lebanon after last year's war, spitting out her bile against the Israelis and ignoring entirely the role of Hizbullah as the catalyst for the violence.
Contrast that to a gun battle witnessed by the BBC's Nick Thorpe at Gaza City's Al Shifa hospital last December. Thorpe's voice never changed from a bored monotone as he described the carnage when Fatah gunfire at a Hamas position inside the building left one member of the Hamas executive force dead and several others injured. He could easily have been discussing the duchess' tea party as he droned on without even raising an eyebrow about the fact that this was all going on in a hospital.
Imagine how differently the BBC would treat a like incident where Israeli soldiers might be concerned? The IDF in a Palestinian hospital? Oy vey!

The BBC spending a fortune to cover up its blatantly pro-Arab bias and yet that's not enough to ensure the safety of its reporters in Gaza.
Now 15 British seamen are in Tehran captives of the regime and even so, the BBC doesn't get it.

Ha! I saw that report from Nick Thorpe and it was very funny. I thought he was auditioning for a role replacing one of the Monty Python crew!
It was a BBC World correspondent who, during the Second Lebanon War in July/August 2006, asked the UN's Jan Eageland if he thought the Israelis were guilty of war crimes when they bombed Beirut (already a leading question but that's the nature of reporting isn't it?).
The response was along the lines that "bombing civilian targets is a war crime but of course I don't know whether Hezbollah are using these buildings".
However, BBC World news cut off the second half of the sentence. Fortunately for those interested in the truthfulness of the news they consume, the same interview was shown on CNN and other news outlets, a fact that must have been an extreme embarrasment to the BBC.
