Today's Australian reports that the NSW Greens-led Marrickville Council boycott illegal according to Israeli trade commissioner Ehud Gonen.
In addition, Greens leader Bob Brown has finally and quite rightly distanced himself from the NSW Greens' policy for a boycott of Israeli goods. He has described it as a "mistake" that cost the party votes in the state election campaign but, of course, it also happens to run counter to the party's national policy which favours a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
It must be reiterated that the BDS campaign is one that must, by its very nature, exacerbate the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. Its proponents have made it clear that their end game is the dismantling of the Jewish State.
