Pope Benedict XVI is visiting the Holy Land and attended an interfaith meeting yesterday until it was disrupted by an outburst from the chief Islamic judge of the Palestinian Authority delivered what was described as a "venomous attack on Israel" Pope walks out over sheik's tirade.
Given that Sheik Tayseer Rajab Tamimi is a representative of the Palestine Authority - Israel's supposed "peace partner" - one can only ask what chances are there of the Pontiff's repeated pleas for Middle Eastern peace coming to fruition.
