The Palestinian Authority has closed the door on any possibility of peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
According to the report by journalist Khaled Abu Toameh
"No political differences between Fatah, Hamas"
Hamas is politically committed to Israel's destruction and Abbas says there are no political differences between Hamas and Fatah.
So it's not the settlements at all. It's Israel's existence.
Needless to say, Fairfax Palestine Bureau person Ruth Pollard won't be availing Age and Sydney Morning Herald readers of this fact any time soon.
