LET'S ROCK
The Dome of the Rock: Built on a site stolen from the Jews and occupied for centuries. It's time to give it back too!
The Age reports on a protest lodged with the UN by a group of Palestinians descended from 15 of Jerusalem's oldest Arab families seeking to prevent the construction of a "Museum of Tolerance" on the car park to the site of an ancient Muslim cemetery - PALESTINIAN FAMILIES APPEAL TO UN OVER 'TOLERANCE' MUSEUM ON CEMETERY. They claim to have evidence of ancient gaves under the entire site including the car park.
They make a good point and I'd like to see the Israelis do a deal with them so that the relevant authorities can exchange the car park site for the entire Temple Mount including the Dome of the Rock which was built on the site of the Second Temple, a site sacred to the Jews from well before the founding of the Moslem religion.
The Israelis could then demolish the old building and construct their Museum of Tolerance or a Third Temple in its place and the Palestinians could do what they want with the car park and the cemetry.
Sounds like a fair deal to me!
