NOT A CHANCE

American friends of Palestine respond to a peaceful march involving tens of thousands of supporters of Israel in New York at the weekend. Those guys look like the sort of people you can have meaningful dialogue with on the subject of peace in the Middle East. In this way, they are much the same as the ugly hordes who attacked demonstrators recently protesting about the play reading by Australians for Palestine of the offensive "Seven Jewish Children" which many consider to be as anti-Semitic as it gets.

An event that draws tens of thousands of people into New York's Fifth Avenue might be expected to draw some publicity around the world - Thousands attend march for Israel in NY but given that this was a parade celebrating the birth of the Jewish state in 1948, commemorating the centenary of the city of Tel Aviv and expressing his sympathy to Noam and Aviva Schalit, the parents of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, 0the odds are that it won't be covered in Al Age.
